Yes, we're coloring (using the right side of our brains) while we talk about (using the left side of our brains) the Bible story, how it relates to other parts of Scripture, and how it relates to our lives and our world.

The Bible stories are important for us so that we can understand the rest of the Bible and know how to live our lives for Christ.

I had Alexa's help keeping this shorter. Tell me what you think about doing it this way. (Be careful not to hurt Alexa's feelings, please.) Also, if you have an Alexa, is this causing you any problems? (Does yours wake up and start talking when she hears me say "Alexa"? Please let me know.)

Your assignment:1) Read Genesis 3.2) Write down in a few words what strikes you from that chapter. 3) Ask God to show you why He made that stand out to you.4) Write down 3 things (insights, facts, questions, ideas, things to do) that you want to hold onto.5) What are 3 things you want to pray about this? (Thanking God, asking for His forgiveness, asking for His help? etc)6) Write down something you learned about God from Genesis 3.7) Write down something you learned about yourself (or people in general) from Genesis 3.8)

Write down one thing that you want to change in your life as a result of Genesis 3 (it's okay if it's really small - all those small things will add up).

If you don't already have a notebook or journal to write in, I'd highly recommend that you get one. You're going to want to go back and read all your notes someday! Or another option ... Get a big manila envelope. Write your insights, prayers, etc on scraps of paper -- be sure to date them -- and keep them in that envelope.
