It would appear that EVERYTHING which takes place within our mortal, earthly dimension is a mere scintilla, a spark, a trace of the actual, ongoing, ultimate War between Light and Darkness, between Love and Hatred, between Good and Evil, which grasps the spiritual plane in all of its divinely created totality. While we are experiencing earthly collateral damage, we must reach beyond our partial, observable perception toward the heavenly army God has assembled lest we fall hostage, and potentially victim to this consummate battle.

One of my favorite passages of Scripture speaks to this (and agrees with what you've said): II Corinthians 4: 16 (USCCB) - Therefore, we are not discouraged; rather, although our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. 17 For this momentary light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 18 as we look not to what is seen but to what is unseen; for what is seen is transitory, but what is unseen is eternal. This entire chapter is really great! That last verse is what I wanted to point out. Basically, the invisible is more real than what is visible.

How perfectly provident and merciful that Our Father has made available to us the protection of His heavenly warriors as we engage the battle on our front! Please provide additional detail concerning the Armor of God and how we may utilize this glorious gift to safeguard ourselves from the unseen but highly perceptible spiritual attacks which continually confront us.

Basically, though, spiritual warfare is best fought by praying, pressing in as close to the Lord as you can get, and OBEYING Him. One of the ways we can press in to the Lord is by uniting our suffering with His.

As we acknowledge the hostile aggression of these destructive incursions into our earthly realm, we must pray ardently for one another, all of God’s children, and against our true enemy, the spiritual evil which inevitably will be eradicated from existence in His time by Our Father. May we include in our prayers all manner of the sufferings we have been conscripted to endure, and to offer them without reserve in solidarity with the sufferings of Jesus, thereby unifying our human frailty with His invincible dominance!

1 Peter 5 (NIV):
6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11 To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Throughout this paramount spiritual warfare, we must align our yearning spirits and our compassionate hearts with our freedom of will:

This is an excellent, beautifully written article. I would suggest that anyone reading it take your time and read it a couple times through. There are so many ideas in there and it's important to understand each one before moving on.
