This song was written based on Psalm 130. This passage holds a special place for me, as it was one that stood out during a very difficult transition in my life. I was waiting on the Lord, knowing He loved me and would take care of me. Many of us feel this way today. Trust in the Lord, He is listening! He knows what we need.

When the Psalms were written, there was no Messiah, and the writer cried out to God and placed hope in God’s Holy Word. Today, we can be assured that Jesus had given us the hope of eternal salvation, bridging the chasm of hopelessness and death. Hallelujah!
