As we draw an end to the first quarter of 2024, we want to share some updates and show how your advocacy and support are making a difference!
Empowering our farmers. At the end of 2023, we launched a national call-to-action (CTA) in support of the Prime Act which tells Congressional leaders that we need to give local control back to our farmers. As a result, we now have three Congressional House Representatives and one U.S. Senator signed on to the bill:
- Representative Celeste Maloy from Utah
- Representative Andrew Clyde from Georgia
- Representative John Carter from Texas
- and U.S. Senator Peter Welch from Vermont

Preserving food integrity. We are supporting a powerful and innovative bill in the Tennessee legislature that would classify food with vaccines inside them as a drug. The bill only needs to pass on the Senate floor before going to the Governor's desk! If you are a resident of Tennessee, click here for more details on how you can support the bill. Fighting against childhood vaccine mandates and protecting religious and philosophical exemptions. We are honored to partner with two battleground states in their work to safeguard exemptions.
- West Virginia: Just this week, a pivotal bill on childhood exemptions was close to passing! Unfortunately, the Governor vetoed the bill at the 11th hour. But we won’t stop fighting and plan on coming back stronger than ever next year in defense of religious freedom.
- California: Our partners at A Voice for Choice Advocacy have officially filed a lawsuit in hopes to overturn a bad law in the state that removed their religious and philosophical exemptions. You can watch our interview with their Founder and President, Christina Hildebrand, here.
Stopping mandates. SHF, along with our state partners and thousands of advocates, have successfully stopped a permanent mask mandate from going into effect through the Department of Labor in North Carolina. To read more about this win, go here.
Electing health freedom candidates. In this 2023-24 election cycle, we’ve already had 151 candidate victories and are still watching some key run off races! And the winning has caught national attention.
