During this time of the year, we celebrate the birth of Christ. We really should be celebrating Him all year long. When Christ was born they gave Him the name Emmanuel.
Matthew 1:18-23; (KJV)
“They Shall Call His Name Emmanuel. Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet [Isaiah], saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”
Emmanuel in the Greek means: "God is with us."
There are four positions which we have with God in Christ.
- God is with us
- God is for us
- God is in us
- God is working through us
Everyday since He IS with me, I have high expectations of supernatural wisdom that all things will take place as He has directed, because God is with me. As He is with me, I can do all things Through Christ who stregthens me. Phil. 4:13 NKJV
Here are some verses to stand on today as we tell ourselves that God is with us!
Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV)
“Fear not, FOR I AM WITH YOU; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
In Mark 5:36 it says, Do Not Be Afraid; Just Believe! Because He is here with us!
Hebrews 13:5; “I will NEVER leave you or forsake you.”
Joshua 1:5; “As I was with Moses, so I WILL BE WITH YOU.”
Isaiah 43:1-2; (NLT)
“But now, O Jacob, listen to the LORD who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters, I WILL BE WITH YOU. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.”
So Just remember as you go about your days ahead of you, Keep telling yourself that GOD is with ME!
Have a wonderful and Blessed Day!
