Beginning tomorrow, October 19, 2022, the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) will conduct one of its two-day public meetings. The meeting will be viewable by the public on the CDC’s website here: https://video.ibm.com/channel/VWBXKBR8af4 Although they are characteristically vague about precisely what will be discussed, the listing in the Federal Register Regulations.gov indicates ACIP members plan to discuss COVID-19 vaccines in children and pregnant women and, crucially, a “Vaccines for Children (VFC) vote on COVID-19 vaccine is scheduled.”
This means that ACIP may be preparing to vote in favor of adding COVID-19 vaccines to the CDC’s routine childhood schedule, which would all but permanently remove liability for the COVID-19 vaccine makers.
We strongly encourage all HighWire and ICAN supporters to comment AGAINST adding COVID-19 vaccines immediately before the committee meets tomorrow, October 19, 2022. The comment period officially closes on October 20, 2022. You can do so on this website by clicking the blue comment button circled in the picture below.

As we all know, but as the committee will likely ignore, vaccines on the routine childhood schedule are typically required by most schools. Don’t miss this crucial opportunity to make your voice heard on one of the most important issues that could affect American children for decades to come.
