Elvis Presley - Today, Tomorrow and Forever - From First Take to the Master | Duet w/ Ann Margret
Thank you to The Ultimate Elvis Channel by Leon on YouTube for this video.
"Originally envisaged as a duet between the two lead actors of the 1963 movie, "Viva Las Vegas", Elvis and Ann Margret recorded the song together on 11 July 1963 with a view to including the duet in the movie. After Elvis recorded the RCA master and record version later that same morning at Radio Recorders' studio B in Hollywood, as a solo recording, the duet idea was dropped. For inclusion in the movie, Elvis' vocals were removed from the master before Elvis re-recorded his vocals on 8 August 1963, and the final version was then further edited for it's inclusion in the film. Therefore, this video is split chronologically into four parts :Part One – The DuetPart Two – The Record VersionPart Three – The Backing TrackPart Four – The Movie Version (vocal overdub to part three)s with all of these videos, to get the most out of the re-edited audio, I highly recommend you use ear /headphones and turn the volume up as much as you dare!"
