Flip Through Revolutionary War Themed Junk Journal for My Dad Penobscot Bay Battle

My father passed away in February 2022. This was recorded in 2019 while my parents were traveling across the US for my mom's prayerwalk.

For the tribute to my dad that goes along with this, please go to https://youtu.be/WczICYI21rcI would really like to make more journals like this -- historical and/or geneological.

I've been gathering a lot of American Civil War materials, and I have a lot for the Revolutionary War as well. I'm interested in lots of aspects of history, so if you'd like me to make something for you, please contact me.

Many of the backgrounds in this journal, as well as the paper I printed for envelopes and tags are from Pixelscrapper: https://www.pixelscrapper.com/ You can seriously get lost for days in the variety of pages and other images to be found there.

The large leaf that I used for a big tuck spot is from Melodi Huey's gorgeous Floriculture kit: https://melodimade.com/product/floriculture-digi-kit/?v=7516fd43adaa&fbclid=IwAR3r3ahmkPTEc-mB_OmMUicEBaBs0Amh6mmEK4t3cISDAgN8ftPN0WpuYVYI have a design team project made from that kit. You can find my full video series here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhIlGeYvdPU&list=PL-qJGkcLR7n6ucZD29oFBtGQ0jty3iy3t&index=23&t=11s I've recorded every step of making that journal.

Some images in my Dad's journal are from https://pixabay.com/ This is a great resource for copyright-free images which I've used for a few years.

Historical images are mainly from:Library of Congress https://www.loc.gov/ If you love history, plan to spend hours oohing and ahhing. Thomas Jefferson's rough draft of the Declaration of Independence??? OMG! Note that with each image is a very well-organized description which includes any copyright restrictions, etc.

Picryl.com https://picryl.com/ This is a website with public domain images covering just about every topic imaginable.

Whether you're looking for ideas to make your own geneological junk journal or have me make one for you, I would recommend having a theme of just one or two people or a particular generation, rather than trying to make something for your entire family tree. However, I'm always up for a new challenge.

If you have questions, I encourage you to ask in the comment section below, so others can benefit from them, too. If you need to contact me privately, you can reach me through my Facebook group: ⁣https://www.facebook.com/groups/prayservego

Love you!
