In 2019 I had decided I wanted to begin growing my own food for my family as I had become more aware of the pesticides in our foods and the benefits of being out in the garden and working with the soil. As a child we only had a very small garden and that seemed to be a lot of work. Through my health literature that I continued to embark upon I discovered Lynn and The Living Farm. I started viewing her free on line show and soon I was taking her on line courses.
In the fall of 2019 I built two 3 bed cinderblock raised garden bed single handed as she demonstrates in her show. As the pandemic hit in 2020 I devoted my time to learning a new skill of high performance gardening. My family and I have now enjoyed two seasons of fresh vegetables truly giving them a farm to table experience. My gardening experience has brought great joy to my life even when I am fending off woodchucks, birds, deer, slugs, worms and beetles.
Each season I continue to learn more and refine some of the mishaps I made the year prior. It is always a joy to watch Lynn in her garden as she has such a passion for teaching her skill and she has a great mindset.
