⁣Remember to pray for ALL our leaders -- of our cities and states, our countries, and the world!

Two prayers, one to St Wenceslaus, and one to God, invoking St Wenceslaus:

St. Wenceslaus, thou wert an intelligent and peaceable ruler, pious and forgiving of wrongs. Pray for all our leaders today, that they may be compassionate and kind, shrewd but noble, and that they may follow the morality of the Christian religion.

O God, who taught the Martyr Saint Wenceslas to place the heavenly Kingdom before an earthly one, grant through his prayers that, denying ourselves, we may hold fast to you with all our heart. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Scriptures today:
I Timothy 2
Proverbs 19:17

Thank you, Alyce-Kay, for all you offer. Can you tell us a little more about your newsletter?

Thanks for asking! It's actually on hold right now, but people can still subscribe. I usually put it out every 1-3 weeks, with whatever Scriptural insights God's been giving me. If I'm working on a book, I'll often tell about that. Usually, in each book, there's something that my readers get to contribute to, such as the details of a wedding, or a favorite vacation.

What is the theme of your transformational fiction?

Great questions, David! Thanks. My transformational fiction, the Isaiah Cadre series, has a general theme of giving people the opportunity to understand what it's like to live as a radical Christian. Each book as a different theme, such as making the tough choices, anger, redemption, etc. One of them deals with abortion reversal. (Yep, that's a real thing.)

@dtwalsh: I hope so! The most common comment I get from readers along the lines of, "I want to have the same kind of relationship with God that your characters have." My characters are far from perfect, but they want to be as close to Him as possible.

I love that part, too. What an important reminder that the only way we can truly hold fast to Him is to deny ourselves. Jesus told us that when He told us to take up our crosses.

That really struck me, too. First of all, it's hard for us to remember to put God's kingdom before our earthy one ... probably even more so if you're a government ruler, but in a sense, we also each have our own kingdom. But did you notice that it says God TAUGHT St W to do that? Wow, Lord, teach me!

“I just challenge you to ask God: Who would you like me to help who’s in need?” We should accept this challenge every day!

We should, and it was a good reminder to me. To be honest, I've been forgetting to do that. I've been too centered on my own needs (my own kingdom).
