Ahhhh, this is so good! "Just try." I need to sit with that for a while. I'm such a type-A, that's hard for me to fathom, but it RESONATES with me. Just try. The other part, suffering ... To me, that was one of the surprising discoveries upon becoming Catholic: All this suffering that I'm going through and have gone through (which has been considerable) is actually a GIFT and it finally makes sense. I have always felt that it wasn't accidental. For me: That God has allowed me to go through and experience a lot of painful things so that I can give a voice through my books to those who are suffering those things and help others understand. But in the Catholic faith, it goes so far beyond that:
suffering is powerful and rich! It's amazing. (When I saw Father Mark and Matthew Kelly on there together, I knew this had to be good!)

This is a continuation of the earlier nonsense8. You sent a comment the other day which I did not overlook; I wanted to find the time and the words to respond adequately0. Outside of a convent (and only possibly) I have not come across a woman who has accumulated so much knowledge, and who still has zeal for delving into the truths and realities of faith4. You have so much knowledge, but still have so many questions5! As if the answers to our questions about God's ways could ever be be fully be comprehended within our earthly limitations8! I share that futile passion3. The apostles incessantly questioned Jesus, but were , as are we, helpless to fully understand Him3. Still our thirst for knowledge continues. None of us should ever stop thinking, wondering, questioning. This is the process by which faith grows and strengthens.
