Today we review short the /a/ sound you hear in Aaaaaaby. (Abby) We continue to work on the distinction of short and long vowels. Practicing in reading and learning all of the nuances of phonics and phonics rules takes time. The rules are just a tool to help your child make sense of the sounds and how to differentiate which sound to make as they read the word.
