Hi everyone, over the last year I have seen multiple comments on a few of my videos that have suggested that it’s time to take our country back at all costs. Some have even referenced the popular quote that the tree of liberty is watered with the blood of patriots. I believe in the cause of liberty as much as anyone, but one question I ask myself when I hear sentiments like these is this. How can people claim to be ready and willing to lay down their lives for their country but not motivated enough to show up at the polls to vote for leaders willing to put the country back on the right track? How is it that we can be so easily manipulated by polls and the media to abdicate our most sacred civic responsibility, thereby allowing radicals to win seats that could go to our fellow patriots? If we won’t show up in record numbers at the polls this November, how in the world do we believe we have the commitment to truly stand up for liberty? The bottom line is this. Many of the changes we want to see in our country depend on our vigilance, perseverance and willingness to peacefully make our voices heard on the battlefield of ideas and then get as many people as we can to vote when it really counts. I’ll rather do that a thousand times than to consider taking up arms against my fellow citizens.
